first of all you we have to know what year the Cherokee is because the new ones don't have the typical spark plug wires that most cars have and they are a little harder to get out but you shouldn't ever have to replace them, and i am not sure with the jeep but in some cases you have to remove the fuel rail to get the sparkplug boot out, y ou have to look right near the fuel rail and you will see two little wires and they go to a rubber boot and you have to pry that rubberboot up and out and then there is a long spring that connects the boot to the spark plug and then take the plug out, but like i said it depends on which year and which motor you have to give more information to get accurate response.
