I want to do a little maintenance on my truck, and save money in the process by not taking it to a mechanic. Can anyone give me detailed intructions to do the spark plugs? I'm new to working on engines..How do you check , and change, spark plugs in a 2000 Dodge dakota?
It's very easy. Remove the spark plug wires. Then, using a special spark plug socket (you can get this very cheap from an auto parts store) remove the spark plugs and replace them with new ones. Then put the wires back in the same way you took them out. Done!
