I hear the plugs are under the vehicle. I'm looking for a free site to get tips, or infor you all can give me. ThanksDoes anyone know how to change spark plugs and wires for a 95 ford aerostar?
The easiest means of changing them is to remove the engine cover from the inside of the cabin.
There are three snap-clamps holding the cover in place.
Place the shifter in ';D-1'; (all the way to the rear of the car) and release the snap on the driver's side, then the snap on the passenger's side, then the snap on the passenger's upper corner.
Remove the cover and change the plugs and wires.
Replace the cover carefully, or it could be damaged, or perhaps not seal well, and then there will be noise and hot air from the engine compartment while you drive.
SUGGESTION: Change the cap and rotor as well as the PCV valve at the same time. This will save a bit of effort when it comes time to tune it up again.Does anyone know how to change spark plugs and wires for a 95 ford aerostar?
You can access most of the spark plugs from under the interior cover (Doghouse) On that year Aerostar, you will need to access 2 on the passenger side from underneath the vehicle behind the fender well. Very difficult to do without the correct swivels and sockets. Good Luck.
They shouldn't be under the vehicle unless the vehicle is on its roof.
It is really quit simple, you will need a spark plug socket, 12'; extension, and a ratchet.
Remove only one wire at a time, and replace that plug and wire before moving to the next one.
Whatever you do, DO NOT take all the wires off at one time, they have to be in a certain order.
Before installing plugs, make sure that the gap is right(distance between contact points).
That info should be in your car manual, if not go .030-.040 gap.
Good luck
