How hard a job is it to change spark plugs in 96 ford escort?

I would like to do this job myself.I am 65 year old grandmother, I need to know if it is possible for me to do this job.How hard a job is it to change spark plugs in 96 ford escort?
here is the best answer you'll get.

1.) if you have never done this before then drive down to your nearest auto zone or any car store and change the spark plugs in their parking lot....they wouldn't mind and it wont take u more then 15 mins to do. the reason to do this is because if you need something while u are working on it, it would easier for u to get and the people in the store will help you out.

2.) to change spark plugs u need a wrench and 4 new spark plugs.

3.) open the spark plug wire...which are located on your engine...right on top. pull them straight up...twist a little if you have to. after u remove those wires, in that whole u will see spark plugs. put the wrench in, unscrew the plugs and they will come out attached to the wrench. if you break a spark plug in half then u will need a 'claw' to get them out of your engine because u will be unable to get them out with your wrench....thats why its a good idea that u do this in a auto zone parking lot.

after u get the old spark plug out....take it out of the wrench...put the new spark plug in the wrench...put the wrench in the hole...and screw them back on. replace the spark plug wire...make sure the seal it tight by pushing on it. make sure u don't miss match the plug wires...do them one at a time.

in my opinion...u can definitely change your spark plugs by yourself however your car is old and if the spark plugs were never changed before they WILL BE EXTREMLY TIGHT and u will be unable to unscrew them. so please if you are doing this yourself without any muscle power....then do it in a auto store parking lot.How hard a job is it to change spark plugs in 96 ford escort?
Go to your public library and check out a CHILTON book on your year and make of car. Follow the instructions. Not real hard but pay attention to the firing order. This is very very important!! Secondly...do you have a son or son-in-law that could do it for you???? Just a thought.
yes it is very easy all the plugs are right up front just rember remove 1 plug wire at a time chane plug replace wire then go to next this way you don't get the firing order
It quite easy even for a apprentice just be real careful when removing the spark plug wires you want to remove it by the tip of the plug gently wingle it until it will pull off.
No.I suggest You ,only do the things ,You are in use to do.
